why C-H bond is non-polar:o:oThey have different electronegativity

and why we add salt to the water,the temperature will drop:smile_45::smile_45::smile_41::smile_41::smile_41:

C-H bond is polar, but the difference in electronegativity is small (~ 0.4).

Dissolving solid salt in water requires energy to break apart its ion lattice.

咁姐係有energy release 所以就低溫了:smile_41::smile_41:

No, the opposite. Energy should be provided to break the ionic lattice of the salt during dissolution. Water is the only energy source in this case; therefore, its overall energy is reduced, and its temperature drops.
